Gjøa Travel team goalkeepers train with our dedicated Goalkeeper Coach, who runs weekly practices for all ages and creates Individual Development Plans for each player. He also analyzes goalkeepers' performance during weekend games and maintains regular communication with all team coaches regarding their goalkeepers' progress. The dividends are clear - three of our keepers have made Eastern New York ODP rosters in recent seasons!

The Olympic Development Program (ODP) is an initiative of US Youth Soccer, which offers supplemental training and competitive opportunities. The program's goal is to help players advance to USYS Regional teams, colleges, and eventually national teams. Gjøa coaches recommend our best Travel Soccer players to the Eastern NY ODP coaching staff to attend tryouts for the state pool. Those that are accepted receive training, scrimmages and games which are supplemental to their Gjøa participation. Four Gjøa boys are currently participating in ODP!
