Little Vikings & YDP

All in-person programs are temporarily suspended, but check out YDP Zoom Practices in the Schedule section below, and watch this page for updates, or sign up to receive email announcements.

Designed for girls and boys born between 2014 and 2016, the Little Vikings clinic is the earliest introduction to organized soccer on the Gjøa Pathway. With each weekly practice, the Little Vikings develop a love for the game through fun and engaging activities, while establishing fundamental skills that young players need to begin their soccer journey.

Whether on a path to travel soccer or refining their game for success in recreational leagues, the Youth Development Program (YDP) offers girls and boys born 2006-2013 professional instruction to improve their soccer skills. Gjøa licensed and experienced coaches teach a weekly clinic focused on ball mastery, technical skills, and game understanding in a fun and supportive environment.

YDP Zoom Practice

YDP Zoom Practice is the new online version of our popular SC Gjøa Youth Development Program, which we run every Fall, Winter and Spring. YDP Zoom Practice is open to anyone born between 2008 and 2013. Each week, our licensed professional coaches, working from home, will lead players through a short orientation, warm-ups, ball control drills, ball skills, and some fun games to finish the session. Practice is on Friday’s from 5.00pm to 5.45pm.

For the month of May these three 45-minute sessions are free, but online registration is required to receive the Zoom code. As we’re a non-profit program that is keeping our coaches employed, we ask that you make a one-time donation of any amount ($20 suggested), but there’s no pressure at all to donate.
